| Chase carefully opened the door to Pandora's room. He was currently wearing a face mask and scrubs, which had been considered a necessary precaution whilst dealing with this patient. Whatever she had was probably infectious, and so she had been effectively quarantined in this room. The reported symptoms so far had sounded like a case of really bad flu at first, but by now it seemed to be worse then that. She had so far been put on IV fluids, and been given antivirals, the latter seemed to be having very little affect, and so her case had been put to Dr. House and his team.
"How are you feeling?" Chase asked, looking over the monitor by the bed. Her temperature was higher then it should be, at about 38 degrees Celsius. | |

| "Bloody marvelous!" Pan said weakly. It hurt when she moved and she felt ill and dizzy constantly. | |

| "Your still not responding to the antivirals," Chase noted, taking a few cautious steps towards her, "We need to take a blood test, see if we can find out what it is that you've got. Hopefully then we'll be able to treat it successfully." | |

| Pan groaned, she hated needles with dispair. But if it helped her then she would do it. "do you have any ideas at all yet?" she asked hopelessly. Feeling rather irritated by the way people acted around her. She hadnt seen a person dressed in normal clothes since she had arrived! | |

| "We've got a few, though we're not certain yet," Chase said, grimacing under the facemask, "There are quite a few things that would fit your symptoms, but we need a blood test to confirm them. Have you been abroad recently?" | |

| Pan thought back, "I've been in Egypt for about 2 weeks. I came back about 2 days ago" she said, also grimacing as her head seared with pain. | |

| "Okay, well, we'll take that into account. Anyway," Chase got out the sterile syringe, walking over to Pandora's bedside, "On with the bloodtest." | |

| "Oh great." she muttered, dreading it already. Bloodtests were like her nemisis. She hated them with a vengence but if it meant her recovery, she wouldnt complain much. | |

| Chase carefully pushed the hypodermic needle through into her upper left arm, suctioning a sufficient amount of blood for testing, and then withdrawing the needle. "There. All done. So, before I go and take this up for testing, have you been experiencing any new symptoms? Or is it the same as when you came here." | |

| Pan gasped a little as the needle went in. "I get quite dizzy sometimes, lightheaded. You know. Which didnt really happen before." she said in a sorrowfull voice. Her arm stining from the blood test. | |

| "Well, I'm sure we'll have that sorted out soon," Chase said reassuringly, voice slightly muffled from under the facemask, "Anyway, I'll probably be back in an hour or so, tell you the results. Hopefully we'll have a proper diagnosis by then." | |

| "No problem," Chase said, smiling faintly, not that she could see that. He started to walk towards the door, "So, tell us if the symptoms get any worse," he reached for the door handle, opening the door, "Cya." | |

| "Okay" Pan muttered faintly, her arm stinging painfully. She thoroughly hoped the results would come through soon. | |
