Personality:
House has a habit of being very sarcastic, and mocking of other peoples ideas and beliefs. As an atheist he is very pessimistic when it comes to religion, openly mocking his co-workers and patients beliefs. He doesn't at all enjoy working with the patients, like some Doctors do, more so he enjoys solving the puzzle of their illness, enjoying the challenge. He hates to take cases that do not interest him, for example ones that do not adequately challenge him.

History:
House travelled around a lot as a child, which gave him the chance to learn languages such as English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Yiddish, French, Japanese, and Mandarin. When his father was stationed in Japan, at the age of 12 House witnessed the respect given to a Buraku Doctor who solved a case that no one else was able to solve. House decided shortly after witnessing this that he wanted to become a Doctor.
He attended Johns Hopkins University, choosing to study medicine, however, during his Medical Education he was caught cheating in one of the tests by fellow student Philip Weber, and was ultimately expelled. He then went on to study at the University of Michigan instead for the remainder of his degree.
About 10 years after this he entered into a relationship with Stacy Warner, a laywer, during a paint balling match. Five years later during a game of gold he suffered an infraction to his right leg. He had the dead muscle bypassed in order to restore circulation to the remainder of his leg, risking organ failure and cardiac arrest, with the hope of being able to use his leg again. He was entered into a chemically induced coma so he could sleep through the worst of the post operation pain but Stacy, House's medical proxy, acted against his wishes and authorized a safer surgical middle-ground procedure between amputation and a bypass by removing just the dead muscle. This resulted in the partial loss of his leg, and left him with a lesser but still serious level of pain which he would have to deal with for the rest of his life. House refused to forgive Stacy for this decision, and she left him as a result. House now suffers from chronic pain and uses his cane as an aid for walking. He uses Vicodin as a painkiller to lessen the pain, which he is now addicted to.

Family Background:
House was born as an only child to parent Blythe House on June the 11th 1959. His Father is apparently John House, but after doing a DNA test shortly after his death it was revealed that John was not his biological father. This did not really upset House at all, seeing as the two never really shared a good relationship. John worked in the US Marine Corps as a Pilot, meaning that the House travelled a lot in his younger years, this giving him the chance to learn multiple languages.

Roleplay Example:
House leaned against the wall, the cane was lying at his side on the cold, white floor. He was casually throwing the red and black ball against the far wall, catching it as it rebounded back to him. The hospital hadn't been as busy as usual today, and so far he had been successful in avoiding his work in the Clinic. His team were currently running several tests for their latest patients, the illness was obvious to him but it was amusing to see the underlings attempt to figure it out. The pain in his leg was luckily not so pronounced, though that was probably something to do with the fact that he had dry swallowed several tablets of Vicodin a couple of minutes ago.
